31 Days of Horror Day 14: Return of the Living Dead

Let’s do another zombie movie, shall we?  I really should have done this after Night of the Living Dead, seeing as how it’s an indirect sequel.  Oh well.

I didn’t love this movie immediately.  Coming from Romero’s films, it’s a different kind of zombie movie.  It has fun with the idea of zombies.  They run.  They pick up radios and say things like, “Send more paramedics.”  They feast on brains as well as flesh.  It’s funny, but it’s also extremely gory.  Right up my alley.
It also introduces one of the most iconic zombies in history…
