Cory W Ahre Bio

Cory Wayne Ahre was born November 10, 1986 in Bryan, Texas to Denis Ahre and Shelly Prescott (10/13/58- 12/09/13). My brother, Bobby Joe Ahre, followed in 1990. We bounced around a lot as kids and were mostly raised by my grandparents, Bobby and Neva Prescott due to the fact that my mother had Cerebral Palsy. I will skim over my teen years as they can best be described with the words sorted and disreputable, but in that time I explored my creativity through writing and got my taste for performance fronting several punk/industrial bands.  I started acting at 21 with the short film Tragedy of the Fallen Cherub. Since then, I have done several short films and four feature films; Enchiridion, Unsmokin Drake, Pick Ax Murders Part 3 and Sacrament. For the last two years I have also been a co-star of the web series The New Adventures of Baby Jesus, created by Julio Olivera and it can be seen at www.ovniofils.com.

I currently live in College Station, Tx where , when I’m not working on my screenplays or looking for auditions, I spend my time developing my graphic novel, The Ferret. It is about a wounded cop who brainwashes his mentally challenged young brother into a deadly weapon of vengeance and the urban myth that grows from his bloody actions.

Influenced by William S. Burroughs, Philip K. Dick, Hunter S.Thompson and H.P. Lovecraft on the literary end and David Cronenberg, Guillermo del Toro, Eli Roth, Robert Rodriguez and Joss Whedon on the filmmaking end. Cory cites his biggest acting influences as Sam Rockwell, Alan Tudyk, Ben Foster, David Hewlett, Caleb Landry Joes and James Marsters.
